Just an introspective track about the various paths we take through life.
I was attempting to represent my mantra without using my mantra. It's about keeping perspective and respecting others choices, and I think this song really manages to fully encompass that vibe.
(Verse 1)
I've got my road beneath my feet, stretching out to somewhere new,
Yours is winding through the fields, under skies of endless blue,
Were carried by the hands of time, moving where the breezes blow,
Separate trails through dust and dawn, each a story we don't know.
(Chorus)
Paths we tread go rolling on, side by side or far apart,
Some will curve and some will climb, guided by a quiet heart,
We walk our days through shade and sun, steady as the rivers run,
Lives will turn in their own dance, free beneath the mornings hum.
(Verse 2)
Yours might lead to mountain air, where the silence fills the soul,
Mine could chase a city's hum, where the lights take full control,
The earth keeps spinning under us, seasons passing one by one,
No ones here to mark the way, just the steps we've each begun.
(Verse 3)
Sometimes paths will brush so close, we can hear the other sing,
Voices drifting on the wind, like a bell that softly rings,
Then they part without a word, trailing off to lands unseen,
Both still tied by something vast, in the spaces in between.
(Chorus)
Paths we tread go rolling on, side by side or far apart,
Some will curve and some will climb, guided by a quiet heart,
We walk our days through shade and sun, steady as the rivers run,
Lives will turn in their own dance, free beneath the mornings hum.
(Verse 4)
Every souls a traveler here, carving lines through time and clay,
No ones road can steal the next, each must find its own display,
Through the storms and golden hours, we keep moving, bold or slow,
Bound by life and nothing more, in this world well never know.
(Outro)
So Ill tread my path ahead, through the dusk and into morn,
Yours will wander where it will, through the wild or gently worn,
Side by side or worlds away, still we share the air we breathe,
Paths keep stretching ever on, in the peace we both receive.
